Gaia Vimercati

Gaia Vimercati got a BA degree in Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Milan and a MA. Degree in Comparative Literature at Trinity College Dublin (Ireland). She currently works as a cultural project manager for Quattrox4, a contemporary circus centre based in Milan. Together with Filippo Malerba, in 2015 she created CENSIMENTO CIRCO ITALIA, the first map of circus companies in Italy. Since 2017 she is the curator of FUORI ASSE – circo contemporaneo a Milano, a season of contemporary circus shows organized in cooperation with theatres and cultural hubs in Milan. She was among the contributors of the international conference Semiotics of the Circus (Muenster, Germany, 2015). In 2018 she was selected for the intensive seminar Research Creation Methods in contemporary circus at Concordia University (Montreal, Canada) and in 2019 she took part in the roundtable Nouveaux scénarios pour le cirque contemporain italien (Avignon, France, 2019).
